Introducing Pigeon

We will use different grounding tactics to help settle you into the space.  Once you are in a comfortable position (sitting or laying down, with any props you need), we will begin to create a sound journey that will move waves of sound into one ear and out the other.  This sound will feel like it is enveloping you (like water in a bath), shaking out tensions and feelings of stuckness.  Depending on the time and person and so many other factors, there may arise significant sensations, or the sound bath may feel soothing and relaxing.  Your thoughts and emotions will inevitably wander (as they always do), and your goal will be to watch, and keep watching, as ideas and emotional reactions swirl around.  The sound bath is used for healing, to shake things up in the body, heart, and mind and push negative energy out, making space for energetic flow and physical and mental suppleness.

Who We Are

Christian has been making music for most of his life.

His most recent endeavor is in the world of synthesized sound. With the freedom this provides, he is able to constantly create and recreate new patches of music. Within the realm of our Modular Sound Bath, he goes from a basic idea into an experimentation that carries, plays off of, and imitates the vibrations of the crystal sound bowls. Christian is able to play with sound from the ground up, and invent a unique ethereal journey each time he plays, which sends his mind into a serene and meditative state so powerful it settles a room full of people

Brandee’s first encounter with crystal singing bowls was in Joshua Tree. She attended many crystal bowl sound baths and found that each one felt totally unique. She started asking students and friends what their experiences were and found that this sound phenomenon elicits a wide range of emotional, physical, and psychological reactions that don't necessarily end when the sound stops. Inspired by her fascination with this and the fact that a gracious Siesta Yoga student gifted her and Christian their very own sound bowl, she started playing...and couldn't stop. Every yoga class suddenly ended with a sound bath. As she builds the vibrations from the bowl, she lets them carry her away into a more present and mindful state, leaving the whole room feeling cleansed with each session.

“I feel relaxed, yet stimulated.”

- Greg

“I felt the effects of the workshops for the entire week following.

I was grounded for days. Surprisingly my favorite part was the Om Chant.”

- Sara

"When I came in, my sciatica was acting up.

I felt a sensation in the area where I feel the discomfort during the sound bath, like a vibration. By the time the workshop was over, the pain was gone. The whole next day, I enjoyed what felt like a new body, cleansed of any sciatic pain whatsoever."

- Emi

"Some of the tones reminded me of Pink Floyd, which brought me back to this crystal clear memory from childhood. It made me laugh."

- Julie

"I felt like I was on an acid trip!"

- Erica

"I feel taken care of, and I really needed this. You reminded me that the peace is within, and that it's actually always accessible."

- Bobby

“I’ve never heard sound bowls before.  They were kind of intense at times, in a good way.

I felt blissed out after my experience.

I also really enjoyed the chanting.”

- Emma
